Robert Thornburg has been selected for inclusion in the 2013 South Florida Legal Guide’s “Top Up and Comer” list.

Mr. Thornburg is a Registered Patent Attorney with extensive experience in the areas of patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and related technology litigation. He also represents clients in the areas of patent and trademark prosecution, domain name disputes, and electronic discovery counseling. His experience in patent prosecution includes CPAP respiratory interfaces, high efficiency cogeneration HVAC systems, medical devices, consumer products, pharmaceuticals and “green” technologies.

Mr. Thornburg is currently a trustee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Robert is also an active member of the Florida Bar. He currently serves on the Executive Counsel of the Business Law Section, where he is the Vice Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Committee. He is also a past Chair of the section’s Computer Law Committee. Additionally, he serves on the Florida Supreme Court Trial Technology Committee, and the Florida Bar Civil Rules Subcommittee on Electronic Discovery. He is Treasurer of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida. Mr. Thornburg serves on the board of directors of the Notre Dame Club of Miami, as well as on the executive committee of the University of Florida Law Alumni Counsel.
