Robert Thornburg of the firm’s Miami office, secured a permanent injunction for both patent and trademark infringement on behalf of Homestead, Florida based solar air conditioning manufacturer Sedna Aire USA. Under Judge Donald Middlebrook’s order, the Court found Sedna Aire’s U.S. Patent No. 8,448,458 was valid and enforceable, and then joined Scottsdale, Arizona competitor Eco Solar Technologies using Sedna Aire’s SOLAR COOL trademark, as well as from making and selling solar air conditioning systems that infringe the patent.
