On July 11, 2019, Miami attorneys Robert H. Thornburg and Stephanie Vazquez secured a Final Default Judgment against New Haven, Connecticut based cold press drink maker Freshbev (www.DrinkRipe.com) on behalf of South Florida cold press drink maker MEP Florida (www.MEPFlorida.com) and its owner Antoine Lecas.
The Final Default Judgment, as entered by Federal Judge Kathleen Williams on July 11, 2019, is based on an October 2018 filed a four count declaratory action filed in the Southern District of Florida requested a finding that MEP Florida did not misappropriate any of Freshbev’s purported trade secrets, that Mr. Lecas did not breach his prior agreement with Freshbev, and that MEP Florida had not engaged in any action that would constitute conversion under Florida common law.
