ADD+G Miami Attorneys Robert H. Thornburg and Stephanie Vazquez recently represented Miami based muralist Gabriel Gomez in a copyright infringement action entitled Gabriel Gomez v. Palacio De Los Jugos, Inc., et al in the United States District Court in and for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division. The case, before Judge Urusula Ungaro, addressed Mr. Gomez rights to Copyright Registration No. VA 0002123417 (for the artwork “Reina Maria De Los Jugos”) and Registration VA 0002123572 (for the art work “Art Deco Caribbean Fruits”) both of which were displayed as part of local restaurant group Palacio De Los Jugos Resturants’s advertising and on-line marketing, including on the exterior walls of the restaurant group’s new South Beach Location.
