On August 24, 2017, attorneys Brian R. Gilchrist and Ryan T. Santurri secured an award of attorneys’ fees for client Turner Heritage Homes in copyright litigation based on house plans. The litigation captioned Home Design Services, Inc. v. Turner Heritage Homes, Inc., et al., involved the assertion of house plans copyrights by the Plaintiff against 165 homes built by Turner Heritage Homes in Northwest Florida. ADD+G successfully defended Turner Heritage Homes at trial and through appeals to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court in litigation and has now established the entitlement to attorneys’ fees and costs for proceeding in the District Court.
