ADD+G attorney Matthew McKinney secured a preliminary injunction in U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida (Tampa Division) against a Defendant’s use of an infringing trademark. The litigation entitled Integrity Services of Tampa, Inc. v Integrity Turf Solutions, LLC (Case No. 8:18-cv-02165) involves the assertion of the client’s unregistered trademark rights under the Lanham Act against a competing pest control company in the Tampa Bay area.
- ADD+G attorney Ryan Santurri won a jury trial involving copyright infringement of software in the United States District Court in Denver, Colorado. The outcome was a complete victory for ADD+G client Live Face on Web, LLC, with the Jury awarding $262,197 in actual damages for the unlicensed use of Live Face on Web’s virtual spokesperson software.
- On October 26, 2018, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the judgment and permanent injunction previously secured by ADD&G attorneys Ryan Santurri and Brian Gilchrist on behalf of ADD&G client Axon, formerly TASER International, the manufacturer of TASER-branded conducted electrical weapon (CEW) technologies.
